2008 CMSA BEACH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

ATTENTION:

REGISTRATION FOR THE BEACH LEAGUE IS NOW CLOSED.

Currently the divisions are defined as follows:

Women's:

Recreation teams are new to the game of volleyball or are interested in recreational play only. They attempt to send the ball over the net after only one or two team contacts

Competitive teams demonstrate advanced development of one or more skill (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking) and basic development of nearly all skills. They use all three team contacts on a regular basis

Men's:

Players on C (lower beginner, indoor = C) teams are new to the game of volleyball or are interested in recreational play only. They attempt to send the ball over the net after only one or two team contacts.

Players on CC (upper beginner, indoor = B minor) teams have played volleyball in the past. At times, they attempt to use all three team contacts, however they frequently send the ball over the net after only one or two team contacts.

Players on B (lower intermediate, indoor = B major) teams demonstrate basic development of one or more skills (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking). They attempt to use all three team contacts, however they sometimes send the ball over the net after only one or two team contacts.

Players on BB (upper intermediate, indoor = BB minor) teams demonstrate basic development of two or more skills (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking). They attempt to use all three team contacts on a regular basis.

Players on A (advanced, indoor = BB major) teams demonstrate advanced development of one or more skill (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking) and basic development of nearly all skills. They use all three team contacts on a regular basis.
Players on AA (competitive, indoor = AA/A) teams demonstrate advanced development of nearly all skills (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking). They use all three team contacts very effectively on a regular basis and they execute various types of serves and attacks.
